MDG Principal Consultant, Mr. Rick Robinson - 25 years’ experience in design for sound, video projection, video distribution, AV Control systems and theatrical lighting design. 30 years’ experience in automation control design. Automation control is a single point that allows control of all sound, video, video conferencing, video broadcasting, theatrical and room lighting, material and room control, IT and security under one system. Mr. Robinson is known for innovative solutions to critical or problematic rooms or conditions. He has successfully solved or created designs that are new to the industry in audio visual and control applications.
Mr. Robinson has designed systems for over 500 churches, Performing Arts, Expo Centers, Outdoor Amphitheaters, Courtrooms (Federal and Local), Civic Centers, Events Centers, Exclusive Hotels. Resorts, Emergency Operations Centers, Police and Fire Training & Dispatch Centers. High Rise Residential and Large Assisted Living Facilities. His designs utilizes the latest in robust, technological strategies in providing our clients with solid, easy-to-use solutions.
Acoustics
Sub-Consultant for MDG is Mr. Christopher Sowden has over 25 years of experience in a broad range of electrical and acoustical engineering practice, with special emphasis on building and room acoustics, electro-acoustics, audio/visual systems and noise control. His specific experience includes design of sound reinforcement systems for arenas, sports stadiums, meeting facilities and theatres; design of audio/visual presentation and control systems for professional, educational and training facilities; interior acoustical design of broadcast studios, rehearsal and performance facilities; and design of architectural and mechanical noise and vibration control systems for office buildings, hotels and apartment complexes.
Mr. Sowden has conducted seminars in sound system design and operation, acoustics and noise control for the Audio Engineering Society, National Systems Contractors Association (NSCA), Synergetic Audio Concepts (Syn-Aud-Con), Stadium Managers Association (SMA), Construction Standards Institute (CSI), the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), The American Institute of Architects (AIA).
Voice/Data
Ronnie Brown, Technology Infrastructure Consultant, RCDD – BICSI – 20 years as telecommunications consultant including the responsibilities of Quality Control and Project Management for major voice and data infrastructure. Mr. Brown has the additional benefit of practical experience in the building construction industry lending a unique insight into his design abilities.
Mr. Brown’s experience includes data, voice and video communications projects in multi-site campus environments, fiber optic networks and outside cable plant facilities, local area networks, metropolitan area networks, video distribution networks, and video surveillance systems.
